Help with IDReel, the iPhone app that finds your tracks in your videos.
Write to us. Say what you tapped and what happened. We answer within 2 working days, and reports about a crew card within 24 h.
From the app it's quicker: open You and tap Send feedback. It adds a short technical summary (app and iOS version, counts), never your music or videos. If a scan stopped on an error, the summary can name the video it stopped on. You can read and edit it before you send.
The app has its own step-by-step guide: You, then How IDReel works. The questions DJs ask most:
MP3, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, M4A and CAF work. Unreleased tracks are found the same way as released ones.
No Dropbox app on the phone? Tap +, then Add tracks from Dropbox. IDReel signs in to Dropbox itself. With the Dropbox app installed, you can also switch Dropbox on inside the picker: Browse, the three-dots button, Edit, switch Dropbox on, Done.
Tracks over 10 minutes are taken for DJ sets and switched off, so a set doesn't swallow every match. Add single tracks, or switch one on in You, then Track files.
It depends on how many videos you have and where they are. Videos on the phone are quickest; videos in iCloud download first. A big library is an overnight job: plug in, keep IDReel open, let it run.
On the Tracks tab, tap Scan … unscanned videos (it shows your number). The same button is in You, then Library index.
Open IDReel: a scan iOS stopped carries on by itself. Still stopped? Tap Resume. On iOS 26 and later a scan keeps going when you lock the phone; on earlier iOS, keep IDReel on screen.
Open You, then Dropbox, tap Connect Dropbox and pick the folder with your gig videos. IDReel reads only the sound of each video, never the whole file, and can't change anything in your Dropbox.
Swipe the app row to the end and tap More, then Instagram. Choose Post and your clips arrive as one carousel, in order. Tap the caption box, Paste, then Share.
By making a card you agree to these terms: no offensive names or titles. That covers the artist name, the track titles a card shows and the handle you add when you send clips back: no slurs, no hate, no threats, no sexual content, nothing aimed at a person. Names, titles and handles are checked against a list of blocked words when a card is made or answered. A title you'd rather not show can be hidden, and the card shows ID 1 instead.
Anyone can report a card. In the app, tap Report this card at the bottom of it. On the card's web page, tap Report this card at the foot of the page. Or email us the card's 6-character code. Reported cards are closed within 24 h, and a card that breaks these terms stays closed.
Close a card you shared any time in You, then My cards. You, then Delete my card data removes your cards, their files, your handles and the anonymous login from our server at once.
Recognition runs on your phone. IDReel never uploads your videos or your music. All the details are in the privacy policy, including how long we keep things and how to delete your data.
